Tooth Whitening

This darkening is due to changes in the mineral structure of the tooth, as the enamel becomes less porous. Teeth can also become stained by bacterial pigments, certain foods and tobacco.

In our clinic, we use the BriteSmile Tooth whitening system. Our dentists apply high concentration of oxidising agent for a short period of time: a light –cured protective layer is carefully painted on the gums and a special light is used to activate the chemical agents for maximum result. After 3 occasions of 20 minute treatments, you will see a dramatic improvement in the appearance of your teeth, they can even become eight shades lighter than before. The treatment is completely safe, there will be no damage to the soft or hard tissue of your teeth.

Tooth whitening – at home kit

At ART MEDIC DENT, we use the Opalescence Tooth Whitening home kit. Our dentists prepare a plastic strip for you to hold a low concentration of oxidising agent., a whitening gel. In your home, all you have to do is to place the gel in the strip and place it on your teeth before you go to sleep. The treatment can last from 2 to 12 nights, depending on the whiteness required. You will also receive a colour palette, where you can measure your progress.
