Are you an ideal candidate?
You are an ideal candidate for breast lift surgery if you are a healthy woman, who is realistic about what the surgery can do for you. The best results are usually achieved in women with small, sagging breasts. Breasts of any size can be lifted, but the results may not last as long in heavy breasts due to gravity.
Many women seek breast lift because pregnancy has left them with stretched skin and less volume in their breasts. However, if you're planning to have more children, we would not recommend a breast lift surgery. While there are no special risks that affect future pregnancies (for example, mastopexy usually doesn't interfere with breast-feeding), pregnancy is likely to stretch your breasts again and offset the results of the procedure.
Breast reduction is usually performed for physical relief rather than simply cosmetic improvement. Most women who have the surgery struggle with very large, sagging breasts that restrict them in their activities and cause them physical discomfort.
In most cases, breast reduction isn't performed until a woman's breasts are fully developed; however, it can be done earlier if large breasts are causing serious physical discomfort. We don't recommend breast reduction for women who intend to breast-feed.
