Risks and complications
Even though there are always risks associated with surgeries, like reaction to anaesthesia, infection, bleeding, pain or unfavourable scarring, face and neck lift surgeries don't have any specific complications occuring after surgery and if rarely they occur, they can be treated with minor procedures and will not affect the final result of your surgery.
Possible and very rare complications of face and neck lift surgeries include hair loss along the incisions, which can be corrected with minor scar revision surgery, and facial nerve injury, numbness or other changes in skin sensation, which usually disappear in 12 months. It is extremely rare that persistent nerve disfunction occurs.
Unsatisfactory results may include facial asymmetry, skin loss, unsatisfactory surgical scar location, unacceptable visible deformities at the ends of the incisions (It may be necessary to perform additional surgery to improve your results) or sutures may surface through the skin becoming visible and causing irritation.
